Our Church

We are a part of the Free Methodist Church of Canada. 

The purpose of the Odessa Free Methodist Church is to worship God and be a lighthouse in our community, to teach God’s word, to bring people to faith in Jesus Christ, and to serve others.

aid at sea or on inland waterways. Lighthouses mark dangerous coastlines, hazardous shoals, reefs,

Our Pastor

Senior Pastor: Ross Kingston

Pastor Ross has been with the Odessa Free Methodist Church since October 2018. He and his wife Penny have been married since 1972 and have raised 5 children. They moved here from Prince Edward County where he was pastor at the Prince Edward County Wesleyan Church.

He was called to Ministry over 30 years ago and graduated from Kingswood University (formerly Bethany Bible College) with a bachelor’s degree in Religion and Religious Studies. He has a genuine passion for the power of prayer, to spread the true Word of God and it’s transforming power to change lives in our church and community.

 

What We Believe

 

God loves you

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ~ John 3:16

God will forgive you

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. ~ 1 John 1:19

 

God will guide you

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ~ Matthew 11:28
